A recap of Santa’s Winter Wonderland 2019

Santa's Winter Wonderland

Are you considering visiting Santa’s Winter Wonderland this year but not sure what to expect? We are here to help with this quick recap of 2019’s Christmas event!

Last year, the Santa’s Winter Wonderland journey started in the wintery ice cave with Santa’s helpers finding out what all the boys and girls wanted for Christmas. One lucky child was then picked to push the big red button to open up the doors into the magical Christmas snow trail!

Once on the snow track, you were met with fantastic fun displays for selfies, lots of Christmas trees and the brand new falling snow! There was plenty of real snow and slides to play around with sledges and tubes, you could even enjoy a fun family game of snowballs! All that snow definitely made for a white Christmas!

After the snow, it was time to enter Santa’s theatre… as the saying goes, time really does fly when you’re having fun! Here, Santa prepared a traditional performance of The Twelve Days of Christmas with Rudolph and friends. However, elves Shake and Speary had other ideas! With the help of the children (and their parents), Santa still managed to give a fun packed show full of singing and dancing with all the latest moves!

After all the fun and frolics in Santa’s theatre, you were off to Santa’s animal village to meet some of his furry animal friends including alpacas, piglets and bunnies! The further into the village you went, the more there was to explore with the giant Christmas tree, Santa’s house and the beautiful, free to ride, childrens carousel (new for last year)! Then, children could write their letters to Santa and post them in the friendly talking letterbox.

Next, was a family photo opportunity which could be printed to take away with you as a special memory. Before finishing the experience with a scrumptious chocolate gift for all boys and girls. Oh, and there was a little something for the adults too!

That’s not all, you could even make a day out of your visit with some other fun winter activities for all the family to enjoy from tobogganing to ice skating!

Hopefully, now you have a better understanding of what Santa’s Winter Wonderland is all about. This year we’ve also made sure the event is Covid secure with an extended reception, larger theatre and limited tickets, see what’s new this year!
