The family fitness series aims to make exercise fun for kids (hopefully for you too!), exercise shouldn't be a chore!

The fitness team has been creating some great ways to keep the whole family fit & healthy. Exercising isn't just good for the body, it also helps keep your mental health in tip-top condition. During the lockdown, it's important to look after each other. To do our bit, the team has been working hard to offer families ideas to stay active whilst at home.

The dice game

Join personal trainer Paul as he takes you through a fun workout game! Watch the video to get warmed up and then roll the dice! Whatever number it lands on... do that exercise for 30 seconds, rest for 30 seconds and then go again. Here are the exercises...

  1. Squat thrusts
  2. Star jumps
  3. Shoulder taps
  4. Run on the spot
  5. Frog leg ups
  6. Squat & jump

Lucky dip

Dan takes you through the PT lucky dip. Each family member steps up, picks 4 exercises from the bowl and they run the class! 30 seconds on, 30 seconds rest, once one family member has completed their turn the next family member goes up. Who is going to be the top personal trainer in your family?


Run the deck

All you need for this one is a deck of cards! Each suit represents a different exercise. Can you get through the entire deck:

2 - 2 reps
3 - 3 reps
4 - 4 reps
5 - 5 reps
6 - 6 reps
7 - 7 reps
8 - 8 reps
9 - 9 reps
10 - 10 reps
Jack - 11 reps
Queen - 12
King - 13 reps
Ace - 14 reps

Adults, you can join in or be the "deck master" from the comfort of a deck chair!
