Perfect for complete beginners aged 4+, Level 1 Swimming Lessons are all about building confidence, learning essential water skills and having fun along the way. With supportive instructors, small group sizes and a safe, structured environment, children will begin their swimming journey by learning the foundations of moving through the water on both their front and back.
As confidence grows, swimmers will develop key beginner skills, including floating, kicking, water safety and becoming comfortable putting their face in the water, all while progressing at a pace that feels right for them.

Confident starts for little swimmers
Level 1 is designed for children who are completely new to swimming and focuses on helping them feel safe, relaxed and confident in the water. Throughout the course, swimmers will learn how to enter and exit the pool safely, float with support and practise basic movements and strokes on both their front and back.
To complete Level 1, children will work towards swimming 5 metres unaided on both their front and back, as well as becoming comfortable putting their face into the water. Every lesson is delivered in a fun and encouraging environment, helping children develop important life skills while enjoying every splash along the way.
This course runs over 12 weeks and costs £72 for the full course. When booking, your child will automatically be enrolled on all 12 sessions, making it easy to progress consistently throughout the programme. If the course has already started, your child will simply be enrolled on to the remaining lessons within the 12 week course.
