Free Carer Tickets

Guests who require support can bring one carer free of charge, with valid supporting documentation. Please present one of the following (dated within the last two years) at reception:

  • Disability Living Allowance or Attendance Allowance award letter
  • Personal Independence Payment (PIP) letter
  • Letter from a GP or consultant confirming the need for a full-time carer

Carer tickets must be booked by phone and cannot be issued without documentation. All other party members, including the guest with the disability, will pay standard ticket prices.

Parking & Arrival

Blue Badge Parking

Designated spaces are available for Blue Badge holders on a first come, first served basis. The badge holder must be present in the vehicle.

  • Turn left after entering the car park, spaces are past the hotel.
  • A level access route leads around the swimming pool to the front doors, avoiding steps.

Access inside the venue

The SnowDome is spread over three levels, with lift access to all areas. Our staff are happy to assist with directions or support where needed.

  • All indoor spaces are non-smoking and non-vaping.
  • Flooring varies throughout the venue, including carpet, non-slip surfaces and snow/ice in activity areas.

Toilets & Changing

There are eight toilet facilities, each with disabled access and baby changing, except in the ski hire area.

The nearest accessible toilets from ski hire include a changing bed and are clearly signposted.

Food & Drink

Aspen’s Bar & Kitchen

Ground floor restaurant offering burgers, pizzas and Alpine classics. A full menu (which includes full allergen and dietary information is available here.

 

The Lifthouse Coffee Co

Situated on the ground floor serving hot drinks and lighter snack options.

Table reservations are available for Aspen’s Bar & Kitchen, with walk-ins welcome on a first come, first served basis. Guest can reserve tables online.

Skiing & Snowboarding

Skiing and snowboarding are active sports that are enjoyed by thousands of people every year. To learn to ski or snowboard through the SnowDome lesson scheme, guests must be able to stand unaided.

SnowDome also works closely with Disability Snowsport UK (DSUK) and Snowbility to offer tailored lessons, adapted equipment, and specialist instructors.

Ice Skating

Ice skating includes the main rink and the UK's only ice track. Skating aids are available to hire at an additional cost and can be purchased online or over the phone.

Snow Fun Park

Snow Fun Park is a dedicated real snow play area with a playhouse and giant snow slide. Perfect for all ages where grown-ups and kids alike can embrace the thrill of a snowy adventure together.

  • Craft the perfect snowball 
  • Make the biggest snow angel

Please note: sessions include music and flashing lights.

Climb

SnowDome Climb features 15 different climb lines across both 6 and 10 metre walls in a safe, supervised environment.

  • Suitable for adults and children aged 4+
  • Guests must be able to stand and get into a harness unaided
  • Please note: music plays during sessions

Swimming

Swimming facilities feature a 25 metre pool, junior pool, toddler pool and the flume.

  • Chair hoist available for main pool access
  • Family and accessible changing rooms available
  • Guests with additional learning needs must be accompanied as per their care requirements
  • Music may be playing during sessions
  • Flume accessed via stairs

Santa's Winter Wonderland

The ultimate UK real snow Christmas adventure for the family. A magical experience including playing in real snow, a mini pantomime and Santa's Christmas village featuring real animals.

  • Wheelchair-friendly
  • Music and lighting effects are used during sessions

Relaxed SEN sessions are available with reduced sound and lighting levels, lower capacity sessions, extra wheelchair spaces and free carer tickets.

Quietest times include:

  • Weekdays during school term time
  • Weekends in June and September

Busiest times include:

  • School holidays
  • Christmas holidays
  • February half term

Please note these are general guidelines when the venue is at its quietest or most busy - these times may vary.
