Sustainability

Zero to Landfill

We operate a zero to landfill waste policy across the site, with on-site waste sorting to ensure that everything is either recycled, reused or responsibly processed. From visitor waste to back-of-house operations, we're proud to say that nothing ends up in landfill.

Protecting our Natural Environment

The SnowDome is lucky to be set beside a beautiful lakeside environment, and we take great care to preserve and protect this natural space. We actively manage the area to encourage local biodiversity and ensure it remains a safe and thriving habitat for wildlife and a tranquil spot for our guests.

Smarter Energy

Throughout the venue, we've installed sensor-controlled lighting to ensure that lights are only used when needed cutting down on unnecessary energy usage without compromising comfort or safety.
In high-demand areas, we’ve introduced smart energy controls to intelligently manage heating, cooling and lighting, helping us reduce consumption while maintaining the perfect climate for visitors.

Recycled Heat, Reduced Footprint

We're making the most of the energy we generate. By recycling heat produced during our operations, we’re able to warm certain areas of the building, helping to cut our carbon footprint and reduce waste energy.

Driving Change on the Ice

Our commitment to sustainability also extends to our operations behind the scenes. We're in the process of electrifying our snow and ice maintenance fleet, replacing traditional vehicles with cleaner, greener electric models. It’s just one more step we’re taking to reduce emissions without compromising the SnowDome experience.

Powered by the Sun

We're harnessing solar energy to power the SnowDome with a growing installation ofsolar panel modules. With plans in place to expand our solar footprint even further. For all additional energy, we work with a certified renewable energy supplier so every snowflake is powered with sustainability in mind.
