We are seeking a talented and dedicated Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment at the sous chef/senior CDP level and be ready to bring their culinary expertise to our kitchen.

We have an exciting opportunity to lead our team in Aspen's Bar & Kitchen at the SnowDome.

Aspen’s Bar & Kitchen is a dynamic and vibrant dining destination known for delivering exceptional experiences against the backdrop of the first and best indoor snow slope in the UK! We pride ourselves on top-tier service, high-quality food and drinks and a welcoming atmosphere for all our guests.

The Sous Chef role is a key position in Aspen’s Bar & Kitchen, located within the SnowDome, offering a truly unique dining experience. Our team strives to deliver food that exceeds expectations every time. Job Type: Full-Time

Full-Time: 40hrs a week (5 out of 7 days)

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including food preparation and presentation
  • Ensure the highest standards of food quality, taste, and safety
  • Supervise kitchen staff and delegate tasks efficiently
  • Maintain inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed
  • Create and develop new menu items in collaboration with the Head Chef
  • Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance
  • Assist in managing kitchen schedules

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role in a fast-paced restaurant
  • Proficient in various cooking techniques and cuisines
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain high standards
  • Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation practices
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
