Supporting Our Community

Acorns Children's Hospice

Acorns Children’s Hospice is a lifeline for families across the West Midlands. They offer vital palliative care and support for children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, and just as importantly, they’re there for the families too.

Whether it’s short breaks at their hospices, emotional and therapeutic support, or specialist end of life care, Acorns is always there at home, in the community or in the hospice, whenever they’re needed.

In the last year alone, they’ve supported 781 children and 1,045 families. Every child is cared for as an individual, with support tailored to meet their clinical, emotional, cultural and spiritual needs.

We’re honoured to work with Acorns and help raise awareness for the incredible work they do.

St Giles Hospice

St Giles Hospice offers physical, emotional and practical support to people living with a terminal illness and to those closest to them. From pain relief and counselling to simply lending a listening ear, their care helps make life that little bit easier during difficult times.

Last summer, we were proud to be a title sponsor for their March of the Elephants event, a stunning outdoor sculpture trail that took over the streets and parks of Lichfield, Tamworth and Sutton Coldfield. Over 60 elephants, big and small, were decorated by artists, schools and community groups, raising an incredible £125,000 for the hospice.

One of the herd now lives here at the SnowDome! Keep an eye out for our very own elephant in Santa’s Village during Winter Wonderland.

Disability Snowsport UK

Disability Snowsport UK (DSUK) is on a mission to make snowsports accessible to everyone, regardless of ability. We’re proud to support DSUK in offering adaptive ski lessons right here at the SnowDome, helping more people experience the freedom, thrill and joy of skiing.

DSUK believes that snowsports should be inclusive and their specially trained instructors use a range of adaptive equipment to support both standing and seated skiers. Lessons are available on both a private and group basis, with subsidised rates to help break down barriers and open up opportunities.

Their incredible work goes far beyond the slopes building confidence, community and a sense of achievement for everyone involved.
