Skiers attending free coaching sessions or demo-ing equipment must be at the recreational standard and purchase a valid lift pass to cover their time on the slope. COACHING SESSIONS NOT BOOKED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE PURCHASE OF A SUITABLE RECREATIONAL TICKET WILL NOT BE RESERVED.

Introduction to Skinning

Learn the basics of putting on and taking off skins. Includes how to care for them and advice on the different types of bindings. On the snow, you will get tips on kick turns and time to practice all the techniques.

Master Skinning

This course is for skiers with some experience of using skins. The focus will be on more efficient technique, practising kick turns and dealing with tricky terrain.

Dealing with all Conditions - Intermediate

To ski in the backcountry, you need a range of skills to deal with a huge variety of terrain and conditions. With a focus on techniques for variable snow conditions, this course will boost your skills when off-piste.

Getting the Most From Fat Skis

Full day course for novices with Blair Aitkin. Includes tips and techniques that will help you master skinning, learn the theory of terrain choice, avalanche awareness and coaching on downhill ski performance.
