Instructor Courses OLD

The BASI level 1 qualifications are designed for those wanting to find employment in indoor snow centres. The SnowDome offers employment opportunities to successful level 1 instructors.

Fees include all aspects of the course, includes slope time and full training, plus 35 hours complimentary lesson shadowing. We also offer employment opportunities to successful candidates, subject to an interview. Courses can be booked by calling 03448 000011 or online. Adaptive Level 1

Adaptive courses must be booked through BASI.

All candidates must be 16 years and above with a good technical ability and an understanding of client care. Courses run for 5 days, 9am until 5pm.

First Aid Courses

WCT provides Outdoor First Aid courses in conjunction with SnowDome BASI courses. All bookings must be made through WCT.

Safeguarding Courses

This online course is approved by BASI. SnowDome BASI course participants receive a 10% discount when booking this course, using the code tamsfgAll bookings must be made through WCT.

  • BASI Alpine (Ski) Level 1

    Level 1 is an entry level course for skiers with aspirations to join the BASI education system. The minimum standard expected for the course is confidence at turning on all types of slope and terrain. A sound knowledge of skiing itself is also useful.

    Level 1 is an entry level course for snowboarders with aspirations to join the BASI education system. The minimum standard for the course is confidence at turning on all types of slope and terrain. A sound knowledge of snowboarding is also useful.

The SnowDome remains temporarily closed but in anticipation of a hopeful opening we are now accepting online bookings for Monday 20th July onwards. This opening date may be subject to change and in the event we are not open for your booking then our relaxed booking terms and conditions will apply to all guests with pre-booked activities, as follows:

Temporary Closure Relaxed Booking Terms & Conditions

For New Bookings (made after 21st March) - We want to reassure all our guests making future bookings to visit from 20th July onwards, if the SnowDome is not re-open in time for your future visit, we will refund the entirety of your booking or provide a transfer to a later date of your choice. You don’t need to take any action, we will contact you as required.
