BASI Level 1 Instructor Courses
Your journey to the slopes starts here! BASI level 1 qualifications are designed for those wanting to find employment in indoor snow centres. Qualified SnowDome instructors can earn up to £14 per hour. Book a Level 1 BASI instructor course this summer and get it for free!
If you book a BASI Level 1 course with the SnowDome and continue to stay on and instruct for the SnowDome during the 2024/25 winter period, you will receive your course fee back at the end of the season (this excludes the £69.99 BASI membership). Eligible instructors will need to be employed via the standard interview process and teach a minimum of 150 hours between 21st December - 23rd February, this includes evenings and weekends.
The BASI level 1 qualification is the ideal way to kickstart your career in snowsports. Once qualified you'll be able to work in an indoor environment, teaching people these fantastic sports and inspiring people every day.
BASI level 1 alpine and snowboard courses
A 4 day training and assessment course includes lift passes and 35 hours of complimentary lesson shadowing (on completion of the course). Courses run from 9am - 5pm daily.
BASI level 1 courses run throughout the year, select book now to find a date that suits you.

Level 1 is an entry level course for skiers with aspirations to join the BASI education system. The minimum standard expected for the course is confidence at turning on all types of slope and terrain. A sound knowledge of skiing itself is also useful.
