The SCUK Summer Bash returns for 2012. Tents, BBQ and beers in a field near Tamworth then snowboarding and Adrenalin Tubing Saturday night at the SnowDome.
Friday 31st August – Sunday 2nd September 2012
The Summer Bash is an excuse for a spot of camping fun and a big shred session. Everybody is welcome, whether you’re a SCUK member or not!
You book everything separately, so you can join in as much as you want.
SCUK Members who pre-book the snowboard session will get the session for SnowDome Members’ rates, then it’s £10 for the camping (which goes straight to the farmer) & £9 for tubing.
Dunx will be carting along a gas BBQ, so bring carbon-based foodstuffs for traditional incineration. Naturally, drinks are also encouraged, perhaps fruit based… hops, apple or grape suggested. In an effort to save tents and the field there will be a single camp fire, with no exceptions – this is the only SCUK Bash rule we have. There are no actual camping facilities at the field, so we’ll be supplying a porta-loo. We’re talking basic okay a chance to get to know the “dirty” you.
Alternatively, lightweights can seek comfort at the Travel Inn across the road from the SnowDome or try out the new Holiday Inn Express situated in the SnowDome car park if you can’t even be bothered to walk… but you will miss all the fun!
Naturally, there will be a spot of snowboarding on Saturday night from 8.30pm to midnight at least. Ramps, quarter pipe, walls, rails, boxes, pipes and snow for all levels. Even “jam session” makes this sound more serious than it is… you go snowboarding, have fun, do some silly competitions – longest olly, Chinese downhill – and throw free stuff at people all night.
Cost: SCUK members that pre-book will get the great SnowDome members rate, otherwise, the cost is £35 adults and £24 juniors on the day. To get the SCUK members discount please book online at snowdome.co.uk by 31st August and use the discount code “BASH12” at the checkout. Don’t forget to bring your valid SCUK members card to SnowDome reception on the day.
