The FIS Safety Code

For your own personal safety and for that of others, all slope users should observe and abide by the International Federation of Skiers and Snowboarders Safety Code, as detailed below.

Respect

Do not endanger others.

Control

Adapt the manner and speed of your Skiing or Snowboarding to your ability and the general conditions of the slope.

Choice of Route

The Skier/Snowboarder in front has priority. Leave enough room for manoeuvre.

Overtake

Leave plenty of space when overtaking a slower Skier or Snowboarder.

Starting

Look up and down the mountain each time before entering or starting your run.

Stopping

Only stop at the edge of the slope or where you can be clearly seen.

Climbing

When climbing up or down, always keep to the side of the slope.

Signs

Obey all signs and markings – they are there for your safety.

Assistance

In case of accidents, please report to a member of SnowDome staff.

Identification

All those involved in an accident, including witnesses, should report all information to a member of SnowDome staff.

All the above rules are binding in law and apply to all slope users.
